Yamagata Tsuyahime brown rice (genmai) is the whole-grain form of Yamagata Prefecture's Special A-rated variety. The bran layer adds a nutty aroma, a chewier bite, and more fiber, B vitamins, magnesium, and antioxidants. Cultivated with around 80% fewer pesticides than conventional rice.
The grains stay separate and toothsome after cooking, holding up well next to vegetable curries, miso soup, and simmered dishes. Soak overnight for best texture, then cook with slightly more water than white rice. Vacuum-sealed in a 2kg pack.
