MOGMOG is a team based in New York City, dedicated to bringing you authentic, traditional Japanese pantry essentials. This page outlines how we handle orders, shipping, and payments. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out.

Order Processing

Orders are processed Monday through Friday, excluding U.S. national holidays. Please allow 2–5 business days for processing after your order is confirmed. Orders placed after 1:00 PM EST on Fridays will begin processing the following business day. Transit times do not include weekends or holidays.

An order confirmation email will be sent immediately after purchase. A separate shipping confirmation with tracking information will follow once your order has shipped.

Need to make a change? Email hello@mogmog.store as soon as possible with your order number. MOGMOG cannot guarantee modifications once an order is placed, but will make every effort to accommodate changes before the order ships.

Shipping

Where We Ship

MOGMOG currently ships to the contiguous 48 U.S. states. We do not ship to Hawaii, Alaska, U.S. territories, APO/FPO addresses, or international destinations.

Carriers

Orders are shipped via USPS or UPS, automatically selected based on your location and order size. Weekend delivery is not available. MOGMOG cannot deliver to PO Boxes or military APO/FPO addresses.

Shipping Costs

Free shipping is available on qualifying orders based on order total and shipping zone. Flat rate shipping is calculated by weight and zone. Click here to view shipping costs.

Expedited Shipping

Domestic express shipping is available through UPS: Next Day, 2-Day, and 3-Day delivery. Please contact us before placing your order if expedited shipping is required, as rates vary by location and timeline. Expedited delivery timeframes do not include order processing time. MOGMOG is unable to offer signature waiver on orders valued at $750 or more due to UPS carrier requirements.

Shipping Times

Estimated delivery times are displayed at checkout based on your shipping address. MOGMOG delivers to four zones across the contiguous U.S. Delivery times may be affected during peak holiday seasons.

Shipping Restrictions

Some items may be restricted for shipment to California. Raw perishable frozen goods are not eligible for free shipping — please contact hello@mogmog.store for a shipping quote.

Local Delivery

Same-day local delivery is coming soon to select areas in New York City. Contact us at hello@mogmog.store to be notified when delivery becomes available in your area.

Local Pickup

In-store pickup is not available at this time.

Tracking Your Order

A tracking link will be included in your shipping confirmation email. Tracking information can also be found in your account under "Orders." We recommend keeping an eye on your tracking so you're ready to receive your package on delivery day.

Delivery Responsibility

Please make sure a safe, secure location is available for your delivery. If you won't be home, we strongly encourage you to track your package and arrange for it to be received promptly. MOGMOG cannot be held responsible for spoilage of perishable or temperature-sensitive items left unattended after delivery.

Lost, Damaged, or Missing Packages

MOGMOG is not responsible for packages that are lost, stolen, or damaged in transit if Route shipping protection was not selected at checkout. By declining Route protection, the customer assumes full responsibility for any issues that arise once the order has shipped. If you experience a delivery issue without Route coverage, we encourage you to file a claim directly with UPS or USPS. We will assist where we can, but cannot guarantee any particular outcome.

Payment Methods

MOGMOG accepts all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shop Pay through secure Shopify checkout. All transactions are processed by Shopify Payments using industry-standard encryption.

Pricing & Sales Tax

All prices are listed in U.S. dollars (USD). Sales tax is calculated at checkout based on your shipping address and applicable state law.

Sale & Promotional Codes

Sale and flash sale items are final sale. Promotional codes can be applied at checkout in the "Discount code" field. Price adjustments are not offered.

Returns & Refunds

Non-Perishable Items

Non-perishable items may be returned within 14 days of delivery if unopened and in original condition. To initiate a return, email hello@mogmog.store with your order number and reason for return. Return shipping is the customer's responsibility unless the item arrived damaged or incorrect. Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5-7 business days of receiving the return. MOGMOG reserves the right to reject returns that do not meet these requirements. Late returns that are accepted will be refunded as store credit. Authorized returns should be shipped to:

Perishable Items

All perishable sales are final. If an order arrives in unsatisfactory condition, photograph the package and contents immediately and contact hello@mogmog.store within 24 hours of delivery. Each case will be reviewed individually. Claims submitted after 24 hours may not be eligible for review.

Allergen & Food Safety Notice

The majority of MOGMOG's products are imported directly from small, independent producers in Japan and are packaged and labeled in Japanese. While every effort is made to provide accurate product descriptions and ingredient information, translations may not capture every detail present on the original packaging. Product formulations can also change without notice from the producer. Customers with food allergies or dietary restrictions should review the physical product label carefully before consuming. For specific allergen questions prior to ordering, contact hello@mogmog.store. MOGMOG is not liable for adverse reactions resulting from undisclosed or mistranslated ingredient information.
