Stone Path Sake Set [石畳酒器セット（徳利1・ぐい呑2）]
Made by Gaja Yoshihide, an Okinawa Prefectural Master of Craft. Gaja took the worn surface of the sixteenth-century stone road at Shuri into glass: flat planes of color set against one another like paving.
The set pairs one carafe with two cups, which is how awamori is poured here: you fill for the other person and they fill for you. Sold as a set of three pieces.
Every piece is made by hand, so size, color, pattern and the way the bubbles sit will differ from one to the next. Not heatproof. Keep it out of the dishwasher, the drying cabinet and the freezer.
