"Ikuyo" Matcha (Box) [抹茶 幾代の昔] 20g
Ikuyo-no-Mukashi is a ceremonial-grade matcha in a 20g paper box, ground from leaves grown across Kyoto, Gifu, Nara, and Aichi. The smaller format is a friendly first step into Ippodo Tea's Mukashi line.
The powder whisks into a bright, vegetal cup with gentle sweetness and rounded umami, balanced enough for daily usucha (thin tea) and confident in a matcha latte. Use 1.5g with 70°C water for thin tea, or build it up with steamed milk for a fuller drink.
From Ippodo Tea, in Kyoto since 1717.
