Ryukyu Glass

Hand blown in Okinawa by RGC, the largest handmade glass studio on the island. The craft began after the war, when artisans melted salvaged bottles because new material was scarce. The bubbles that came with it were treated as flaws at the time. They became the reason people wanted the glass.
