The Subscription
What subscriptions do you offer?
We offer two rice subscriptions, and every subscription is 10% off the one-time order price.
- Pick One: A 2kg bag of one variety, chosen by you from our 12 white rices. $23.40 per month, or $26.00 as a one-time order.
- Omakase Three: Three 300g varieties each month, 900g total. $18.23 per month, or $20.25 as a one-time order. Over the first 4 months, you will taste all 12 rices.
How does Omakase Three work?
Each month you receive one curated set of three varieties. There are 4 sets in total, and they rotate automatically in a fixed loop: Set 1, then Set 2, then Set 3, then Set 4, then back to Set 1. The rotation continues from whichever set you started with.
- Set 1: Yukiwakamaru, Ginga no Shizuku, Koshihikari
- Set 2: Milky Queen, Shinnosuke, Nanatsuboshi
- Set 3: Fukuwarai, Seiten no Hekireki, Tsuyahime
- Set 4: Naku Ko mo Damaru, Mori no Kumasan, Yumegokochi
Your starting set is chosen at signup and cannot be changed afterward, and the set order cannot be rearranged. Skipping a month does not advance the rotation, so you will not miss a variety.
Can I switch between Pick One and Omakase Three?
Yes, at any time, in either direction, from your account. Your new price applies to your next box, or to the box after that, depending on timing (see the schedule below). There is no mid-cycle price adjustment.
Can I buy without subscribing?
Yes. Most products are available as a one-time order, at a slightly higher price since the 10% discount does not apply. Our 300g single-serving pouches and 2kg brown rice bags are one-time order only.
Your Monthly Schedule
Every change to your subscription, including skipping a box, changing your variety or set, adding items, switching plans, or updating your address, follows the same monthly timeline shown below.
💡 Tip: Please make changes by the cutoff, around the 27th. We send reminder emails on the 15th and the 23rd so you have plenty of time.

Managing Your Subscription
How do I access my account?
Click Log In at the top of the site. We use secure, passwordless login, so you will receive a one-time code by email. Once you are logged in, open My Subscription to skip a box, change your variety or set, add items, switch plans, update your address or payment method, or cancel. Every reminder and welcome email also includes a direct link to this page.
Can I change which rice I get?
On Pick One, you can change your variety at any time from your account, and the change will apply to your next box if made by the cutoff. On Omakase Three, the four sets rotate in a fixed order and cannot be rearranged, though you are welcome to switch to Pick One at any time if you would prefer to choose your own rice.
Can I add items to my next box?
Yes. Use the Add to your next Subscription option so items ship together with your rice at your subscription shipping rate. Add items by the cutoff, or they will go on the following box instead. Please keep in mind that our rice subscription products themselves, the Omakase sets and the Pick One varieties, cannot be added this way. To change how much rice you receive, change your plan or variety instead.
I need something sooner than my next scheduled box. What are my options?
Your subscription box always ships on its regular schedule, the 1st through the 3rd, and cannot be shipped earlier or by expedited service. If you need an add-on item sooner, you may place a separate one-time order instead, which ships independently with standard processing. If you need something urgently, that one-time order can be shipped by expedited service. Please email hello@mogmog.store before placing your order to ask about rates, since these vary by location.
How do I change my delivery date or address?
Update your address from My Subscription by the cutoff so the change applies to your next box. You may also reschedule an upcoming box one time. This delays only that single shipment, and your schedule then returns to its normal monthly cycle.
How do I cancel, and by when?
You can cancel at any time from your account. This stops future billing, and any box already processed is not affected. To avoid being charged for your next box, cancel by the cutoff. After the cutoff, your next box is already locked in and will ship, with the cancellation taking effect the following month. Before you cancel, you will also see options to skip, pause, or switch plans in case one of these suits you better.
Shipping & Delivery
How much is shipping for my subscription?
Subscription shipping is a flat rate, the same across all U.S. regions we serve and cheaper than our standard rates. The rate depends on box weight, as follows.
- Up to 5 lb: $6.99. A single Pick One 2kg bag weighs about 4.4 lb, so most single-bag orders ship at this rate.
- 5 to 10 lb: $9.99
- 10 to 20 lb: $11.99
- Over 20 lb: Calculated at checkout

What about one-time, non-subscription orders?
These ship at standard regional rates instead of the subscription flat rate, as shown below.

Where do you ship, and when will my order arrive?
We ship to the contiguous 48 U.S. states only. We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, or international destinations, and we cannot deliver to PO Boxes or military APO and FPO addresses. Your first box ships within about 2 business days of signup, and after that, your subscription ships monthly on the 1st through the 3rd. Delivery time depends on your region, as shown in the table above.
What if I am not home when my box arrives?
Please track your box and arrange a safe spot for it to be left, since MOGMOG is not responsible for packages that are lost or stolen after delivery. For added coverage, you may add Route shipping protection at checkout.
Payment & Billing
When am I billed, and how can I pay?
You are billed on the 1st of each month. Your first charge occurs at signup, and that first box ships within about 2 business days. We accept all major credit and debit cards, along with Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shop Pay, through secure Shopify checkout.
What happens if my payment fails?
We will retry the charge over about two weeks, first right away, then again after 3, 7, and 14 days, and we will email you each time. If the charge still does not go through, we place your subscription on hold rather than cancel it, so that you may update your payment details and pick up where you left off.
Storage & Freshness
How should I store the rice, and how long does it last?
Our rice is vacuum sealed and stays fresh for about 1 year. For best results, please store it in the vegetable drawer of your refrigerator, in a sealed, airtight container.
Returns & Support
What is your return policy?
Rice is a non-perishable food item, so unopened rice in its original condition may be returned within 7 days of delivery. Please see our Shopping Policy for the full process.
What if my box arrives incorrect, damaged, or does not arrive?
If your box arrives with the wrong item, or with an error on our part, please contact us, and we will correct it at no cost to you, including free return shipping where applicable. Coverage for a box that is lost, stolen, or damaged in transit depends on whether Route shipping protection was selected at checkout. Full details are in our Shipping Policy.
