In the early sixteenth century the Ryukyu court laid an official road through Shuri using local limestone. Parts of that stone path came through the war intact and people still walk it today. Gaja took its worn surface into glass: flat planes of color set against one another like paving, quiet from across the room and detailed in the hand.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThis one is blue.
