In the early sixteenth century the Ryukyu court laid an official road through Shuri using local limestone. Parts of that stone path came through the war intact and people still walk it today. A small cup that settles into the palm, sized for awamori poured a little at a time.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eEvery piece is made by hand, so size, color, pattern and the way the bubbles sit will differ from one to the next.
